Double the Impact, Fuel the Future of Hornet Athletics

An alumni donor has issued a $2.5 million matching gift challenge to launch the next major phase of athletic improvements at Savannah Country Day.

Every dollar you give will be doubled, accelerating our progress toward dynamic, modern facilities that reflect the strength, heart, and drive of our Hornet athletes.

These enhancements will create athletic spaces that inspire excellence, support every student, and elevate the overall Country Day experience—on and off the field.

The Athletic Performance Center

  • A revitalized Athletic Center that honors our historic facilities - uniting Demere Gym, Saunders Gym, and the Old Gym with a new entrance and welcoming lounge for today’s athletes, alums, and families

  • An inspiring Athletic Tribute Center honoring the legacy of the past and future of Hornet athletics

  • A cutting-edge Sports Performance Center to develop strength, speed, injury prevention, and recovery

  • All-new Locker Rooms in the Athletic Performance Center — modern, spacious, and team-ready

“We are excited to help in the efforts towards a next phase of Country Day’s capital campaign: Athletics. Sports play an important role in the development of a well-rounded student. Life lessons such as teamwork, accountability, confidence, time-management, leadership, and sacrifice are an extension of the learning process and can be best taught on the fields and courts outside of a classroom. Athletics provides an opportunity for these life skills to be developed and mastered. I hope other parents, friends and alumni will join us in giving towards Phase II of the Invest in Excellence campaign!”
